Information we collect

When you submit a form on this site we collect the information you provide (name, phone number, email address, the type of matter, and any message). We also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visited, and how you arrived at the site (for example, a search engine or advertisement), through analytics and call-tracking tools.

How we use it

We use this information to respond to your inquiry, schedule consultations, and understand how people find and use the site so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information.

Calls and text messages

The phone number you see on this site may differ depending on how you arrived, so the firm can tell which advertising works. Calls are handled through the firm’s phone system, which keeps call logs, and may be recorded for quality and training purposes where permitted by law and with notice at the start of the call. By providing your phone number and submitting a form, you consent to being contacted by phone, text message, or email about your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.

Third-party services

The site uses Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversion tracking, RingCentral (the firm’s phone system, including call logs and text messaging), Cloudflare Turnstile (spam protection), and email delivery services to process form submissions. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy.

Cookies

Cookies and similar technologies are used for analytics and advertising measurement. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Attorney-client relationship

Submitting a form or contacting the firm does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information until an engagement has been confirmed in writing.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you, and a copy of it in a portable format, by contacting info@dchapmanlawgroup.com. We will respond within 45 days. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising based on your activity across other websites, other than measuring the performance of our own advertisements. New Jersey residents have additional rights under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising and to appeal a decision on a privacy request; to exercise them, contact us at the address above. We honor browser opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control for advertising tags.

Retention

Inquiries that do not become client matters are deleted after 12 months. Client files are retained as required by the New Jersey Rules of Professional Conduct.
